Y&R Spoilers: Hunter King Explains Soap Exit

The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates tease that Hunter King has opened up about her departure from the soap. When asked why she left, the actress’ simply answered, “It’s complicated.”

King took the role of Summer Newman, the daughter of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) daughter, nearly a decade ago. Since then, the actress has loved playing her alter ego.

“When these things happen [during contract negotiations], there’s a variety of reasons why they happen… It’s such an odd process [working out a business arrangement] but also feeling like it’s your family. It’s definitely weird,” she said.

King’s personal evolution has helped her see things in a different light. She revealed that she’s currently in a stage of growth in her life. She believes that she’s grown a lot on the show but it’s time for her to grow in other ways.

She may no longer be with The Young and the Restless but the actress is keeping herself busy. She’s a regular cast member of CBS’ Life in Pieces and stars in ABC’s Prospect.

King Drops Hint of a Possible Return

King said she’s “taking it day by day and figuring it out… seeing where life takes me.” But the actress is not closing her doors on a possible return to the soap. She hoped to “always have Summer in my life in some capacity.” Although she’s not sure how that will go, she’s holding on to her character close to her heart. The actress even hinted that fans may see Summer and Kyle someday.

The Young And the Restless Spoilers: Mariah Goes into Labor

Y&R spoilers tease Mariah will grow increasingly concerned that she might give birth alone in the room where she’s being kept by her captor. She’ll try to keep herself calm by talking to Baby Bowie. However, she’ll start to feel labor pains. Fans know that she tried to cover the camera so she can lure her captor to come out.

However, her plan failed so when she starts to feel pain, she’ll uncover the camera and hope that her snatcher will come out to help her. Mariah will continue to hope that someone will help soon so she doesn’t have to be alone as she delivers the baby without any supply or support.
