Carson Daly Leaves The Voice

Rumors have been circling about Carson Daly leaving The Voice for a while now.  An insider dished earlier this summer to The Sun, “He wasn’t able to make the upcoming season’s schedule work with his Today show schedule.  So his Today workload mixed with not wanting to be away from family this next year made him say ‘no’ to hosting 31.”

Sadly, the rumors are true and Carson Daly is really leaving after thirty seasons as the one and only Voice host.

Those are some pretty big shoes to fill, and the network is already receiving backlash on the web for the replacement that they chose.

The New Voice Host Is …

On Tuesday August 4, The Voice announced that Keke Palmer would be taking over the role of host in Season 31 (which won’t air until 2027).  Palmer appeared in an Instagram video confirming the big news.

Carson Daly will still reportedly serve as a producer on Keke’s season of the show, and TPTB at NBC made it clear that the door will always be open for his return down the line.

Voice fans flooded to the comments to share their thoughts about the show’s replacement host.

The majority of people seem thrilled to have Keke Palmer on board, but some Voice fans think the show should have made a former coach (like Blake Shelton or Gwen Stefani) the new host.

Do you think Keke Palmer was a good choice?  Or should they have offered the gig to a former Voice coach?  Share your thoughts down below in the comments and keep checking Soap Opera Spy weekly for reality TV news and updates.
