The Voice Shocker: Is Carson Daly Really Leaving

Carson Daly has hosted The Voice on NBC for over a decade and is the longest running cast member on the show.

Over the years there have been several changes on the coach’s panel, but one thing that never changed on The Voice was Carson Daly.

According to the TV rumor mill, Season 30 could be Daly’s last year on the singing competition.

Carson Daly On The Voice For 30 Seasons

When The Voice premiered on NBC back in 2011, Carson Daly debuted as the show’s host.  Despite all of the coaches coming and going, Daly remained at the helm since season one.

This fall, Daly expected to take stage again for the Season 30 premiere.  But, rumor has it this could be his final season on the singing competition.

The Fall 2026 premiere has already been filmed, but several sources have reported that Carson Daly won’t be appearing in Season 31 next year.

Why Is Carson Leaving

The Voice isn’t Carson Daly’s only television gig.  He’s also working as a Today Show correspondent.

An insider told The Sun that Carson stepped down from The Voice because it was too difficult to film for both shows.

Since getting married in 2015, Carson has four children at home and a wife who he desperately wants to spend more time with.

The source dished, “He wasn’t able to make the upcoming season’s schedule work with his Today show schedule.  So his Today workload mixed with not wanting to be away from family this next year made him say ‘no’ to hosting 31.”

So far, there’s no news yet on who will be replacing Carson Daly.  But, we can all agree that he left some pretty big shoes to fill on The Voice stage.

The network is rumored to be leaning toward a former coach that was a fan fave, but there’s no confirmation of that.
