When Josh Duggar, who happens to be the eldest of the Duggar siblings, was convicted for the possession of child pornography, he didn’t want any of his younger siblings to climb onto their high horse and condemn him.
Josh Duggar Complains About People Condemning Him And Saying “Hurtful Things”
It turns out that Josh Duggar once had something he wanted to complain bitterly about , and he did just that in a lengthy text with his mother.
In the message, which was obtained by PEOPLE in light of Joseph Duggar’s child molestation charges, Josh freely spoke about his frustration towards certain family members.
The message was sent to his mother Michelle a month after being convicted of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material.
“[F]amily members continuing to judge and condemn, saying hurtful things is so hard to deal with,” he complained in the text, explaining that throughout his ordeal, he had received “more compassion and love from strangers” than he did from family members and so-called close friends.
Dissecting his family members’ reaction to his conviction, he blasted that he is “still in shock and awe of how hurtful and judgmental people can be,” accusing them of having even “less character” than “non-believers.” He brutally branded them “prideful and hateful.”
The part that disturbed him the most was the lack of help provided to his wife Anna and their seven children, who he said were “crying themselves to sleep every night without daddy.”
Addressing their hypocrisy, Josh claimed that they were perfectly fine getting on a plane or driving “truck and trailer to help perfect strangers,” but wouldn’t spare this same compassion for family.
“[E]ven just to be quiet and shut up and not say anything, but no, its [sic] like they enjoy it and they have been waiting to ambush me,” he complained.
In another letter to his father a year into his conviction, Josh once again complained over his younger sibling’s attitude towards him, confirming that only two of his eighteen siblings thought to contact him while he lingered behind bars.
In the letter, he also reiterated his plea for his family members to spare a thought to his “practically a widow” wife, Anna, and their “fatherless children.”
