Execs Planning To “Disrupt” Entire ‘Big Brother' Franchise Ahead of Season 28Things that survive in the long run tend to need a revamp every now and then to survive the pressures of the ever-changing world.

With a thousand different forms of entertainment always beckoning at us, franchises, even the big ones, have found themselves struggling to keep up.

And to keep up, means to constantly come up with fresh ideas that will thrill fans enough to keep them coming back. With this in mind, ‘Big Brother’ execs are reportedly planning to surprise fans with a near clean-slate when it returns for its 28th season on Thursday, July 9.

Execs To Address Fan Frustration In New Season of ‘Big Brother’

There’s nothing to give a fan comfort than to know execs are taken their every vexations into account. Following the run of a number of seasons that fans considered “safe,” execs are beginning to acknowledge fans’ concerns at the influencer-heavy casting and predictable gameplay.

Not only did fans spot the question, they also spotted the best way to bring back the show’s former oomph. Simple, bring back old players.

“Production wants Season 28 to disrupt the entire franchise in a good way,” a source teased.

“They know viewers have been frustrated with influencer recruits and gameplay that feels too polished and careful now.”

“They want people who already know how to play hard, make big moves, stir drama and create moments fans actually remember,” they said.

You know what gets conversation rolling? When you give people something to talk about, and controversies are the easiest way to light the flame.

So to achieve this, they’ve decided to go for a number of personalities, with differing worldviews and political stances.

“They don’t necessarily want an easy, universally-loved cast,” the insider explained. “They want personalities that get people talking online too.”

Some names have already been floated around, like Season 23 fan-favorite Derek Xiao, explosive Big Brother 26 standout Tucker Des Lauriers, and Season 27 finalist Morgan Pope, and talks for their return has started.

However, either to keep us on our toes or something else, the source mysteriously added, “Nothing is official until cameras are rolling.”

Too late for the warning, I guess. Fans already believe that returnees will be part of the new season, especially after host Julie Chen Moonves teased the upcoming season with eight curious emojis.
