Big Brother Season 28 Press Releases Hints Returning Players

Summer 2026 is right around the corner and that means it’s almost time for Big Brother to return to CBS for its highly anticipated 28th season.

The official BB28 premiere date is July 9 2026 and that means we most likely won’t learn any official cast members until the first week of July.  However, a new press release has fans convinced there will be some returning players this summer.

Big Brother Season 29 Premieres In July

This week CBS released an official press release about the upcoming season of the reality TV competition.

Generally when there are no returning players or all-stars coming back, the synopsis would say something about “new” cast-members.  Interestingly, CBS didn’t specify anything about this summer’s cast.

The official report from the network reads, “Reaching a historic milestone as the first primetime series to hit 1,000 original episodes, BIG BROTHER returns for its 28^th season. The season ushers in a landmark summer as Houseguests enter the iconic BIG BROTHER house, with unexpected moments and a season packed with twists and turns. After its premiere, the series will air Wednesdays (8:00-9:30 PM, ET/delayed PT), followed by hour-long shows on Thursdays, featuring live evictions, and Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/delayed PT).”

Another All-Stars Season Of Big Brother?

After over twenty years on primetime television, Big Brother has only had TWO All-Stars casts to date.  Cody Calafiore won Big Brother All-Stars in 2020, which aired during the peak of the pandemic.

And in 2006 Mike “Boogie” won Big Brother 7, which was the show’s very first All-Stars seasons.  The show is definitely due for another round of All-Stars and it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Of course, Big Brother has also had mixed casts in the past and brought in new houseguests to compete against former players.
