True crime occasionally becomes a big headline generator, and Jake Jaro, accused of murdering his 7-month-old son, Emmanuel is one of those stories. This week, more news arrived and it seems that Jake could be part of a vicious cycle of child abuse. Read on for more details.

More Information Arrives

If you are not familiar with the true crime story about Emmanuel, his mom claimed she changed his diaper outside a shopping complex in Yucaipa, CA. She alleged that she was hit on the head and when she woke up, her baby was gone. Later, she and Jake Haro ended up arrested on suspicion of murder and pleaded not guilty in court.

During the investigation, Rebecca’s story seemed inconsistent, so she clammed up. Meanwhile, the news arrived that Jake had a previous conviction for child abuse. His ten-week-old daughter ended up considerably handicapped. However, he didn’t lose any freedom being behind bars and was given a suspended sentence.

Later, the news arrived that he also faced a different firearms allegation but never stayed in jail. This week, more news arrived claiming that he’s a generational victim of child abuse, himself. It came when Banfield on News Nation discussed the case with “Criminal defense attorney Alexandria Kazarian.”

Jake Removed From His Home

While it’s agreed that the justice system failed Emmanuel, who wouldn’t have been born if his father was behind bars, it turns out that Jake also grew up in a violent home. Alexander explained, “I actually learned that Jake… himself was removed from his parents much like his own children were removed from his custody.”

She added, “It sounds like this is a long, longtime cycle of abuse that’s happening in this family. There are allegations that his grandfather was mentally ill and that his mother had addiction problems and she left him at home… with his grandfather who was unfit to watch over him.”

Allegedly, his mom and grandpa had a violent relationship. So at the age of 13, he ended up removed from their custody. Later, Banfield raised another new fact that arrived during the discussion. Allegedly, after the little girl suffered injury, more kids in the home faced abuse from Jake Haro. The true crime story unfolds in a rather horrific way.

The journalist said, “You also discovered that Jake had a couple of other kids who were removed from the home long before baby Emmanuel… This is after being arrested for abusing that…newborn girl who ended up with the permanent disabilities. The police show up and there’s other kids in the home.”

Confirming that, Alexander spoke about the Department of Family Services and claimed “there were a lot of court cases.” Furthermore, the findings indicated that Jake Haro was “found to be unfit to be around his own children.”

Reactions In The Discussion

In the comments section for the update about generational abuse, many people responded to the news. Actually, nobody seemed to feel any sorrow for the alleged bad-news childhood story. One of them predicted, “Oh God, here comes the sh**ty childhood defense.”

Here are a few more reactions:

  • That is no excuse, I know people who have been through similar bad upbringings, and it made them more determined to be better parents.
  • I was severely abused as a child removed from parents & placed with abusive grand parents. I have NEVER been violent.
  • So what !!! No excuses… many children were raised in homes like this and they grow up to be great parents!! They break the chain of violence, he didn’t!!!

What are your thoughts on generational violence? Do you agree that because of his own abuse, there wasn’t a sufficient excuse for him to also be violent? Let us know in the comments below, and come back here often for all your true crime news and updates.
