Meghan Markle Caused BTS Tension At The TIME100 Summit & Gala?

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was interviewed by Jessica Sibley during the 2025 Time100 Summit in New York City on April 23, 2025. Now, a source alleges that the massive outlet had some misgivings, and it was a tense time behind the scenes.

Why Was There Tension?

This week, Royal Family expert Neil Sean talked about it on his Daily News Headlines channel on YouTube. He started off by remarking that the interview was utterly boring, and he didn’t seem impressed with Meghan going on “about sprinkles and the happiest she’s ever been.” In fact, in his opinion, it was all “claptrap,” and he admitted that sometimes, he actually feels a “bit sorry” for Prince Harry.

When he got to the meat of his post, Sean said that “an excellent source” alleged that Meghan “thought that they were going to be a little bit like the Vogue situation on that list of Time magazine…the top 100, right? All of their charitable work, their philanthropy…you know, all the good things that they do.” 

It didn’t work out that way, and the reasons seemed evident in retrospect. Neil reminded viewers that the “Africa Parks” debacle didn’t go down well. Plus, in “Centrepoint…Dr. Sophie Chandauka came out and said those terribly hurty words about Harry being a misogynist and a bully.“

No More Hailing & Praising?

It was allegedly difficult for Time magazine to have Meghan Markle on the front cover or even include her at all. Of course, it must rankle with Prince Harry’s wife because other important people are highly regarded. For example, Sean said:

Oprah Winfrey is in there, naturally very rich, could be useful, and then of course, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Catherine and William. They feature in there too. So, if you really wanted to end your particular six months coming up as a true smack in the teeth as to how 2025 is working out… it’s not going particularly well.

Still, once upon a time, Meghan Markle did say that “You have down periods, you have high periods, I’ll be back.”  However, Sean wonders if she will grace any Time Magazine function or publications again.

People who follow the expert love the way he dishes tea from insider sources. Lots of them entered the discussion, and one of them wrote, “Can’t believe Megan thought she’d make Time magazine…Maybe for being the biggest liar. I’m sorry I’m so sick of her thinking she’s somebody special.”

Here are a few more reactions:

• Oh, she realizes it’s Harry that’s the main draw. That’s why she’s ‘working’ so hard to make herself more important than he is and push him into the background. The only top 100 list that broad is ever going to make is the Top 100 Biggest Loser of All Time. Her last high period was her wedding to Harry. It’s been downhill ever since.
• Imo, her time’s long been up. She’s flogging a dead horse…aka herself. She has no saleable value AT ALL. Basically she’s DONE.
• Remind me what charitable work Meghan does? Being a word salad generator, attending summits and purchasing awards don’t qualify.
