King Charles Did This For Prince Harry For A Year After He Left the Royal Family

King Charles and Prince Harry may have their differences, enough to fill a whole cavern and have some leftover, but according to Daily Mail correspondent Rebecca English, it didn’t start right off the bat when Harry and Meghan made the decision to step down from the Royal Family.

In fact, experts are saying that if Harry hadn’t carried out a media warfare against his immediate family following his departure, he may have still been included in certain Royal Family activities, like the recent VE Day for example.

But things being what it is, King Charles has stopped picking Prince Harry’s calls – at least that’s what the 40-year-old Prince revealed in his BBC interview earlier this month. But that doesn’t mean that the monarch wasn’t a huge help to his son during the early days following his decision to step down.

King Charles Helped Prince Harry Transition To Life Outside of the Monarchy

If you can recall, Harry and Meghan went to Canada when their exit deal was complete, before relocating to America and staying in a mansion provided by American producer Tyler Perry.

Shortly after, they purchased the multi-million dollar Montecito mansion where they live to this very day.

But anyone can bet that handling things fresh off his departure from royal life would have been tricky, especially since there isn’t anymore government funds to pay the bills.

According to Rebecca English, Charles tried to smoothen their transition by taking care of their security fees from his own private savings.

“He understood if his life was going to be North America – at that point they still thought it was still going to be Canada – that he wouldn’t get it. The negotiations then were already over what private security he was going to get and who would be paying for that,” Rebecca explained, adding, “The person who paid for it, my understanding is, for at least the first year after him leaving the Royal Family, was actually his father King Charles.”

It was a year after their exit that Harry sat on the Oprah interview, and alongside wife Meghan, revealed some strange and shocking things about the Royal Family. Not least when he said his father stopped picking his calls a mere few months into Megxit.
