Y&R Spoilers: Did Victor Use Michael To Set Up Ashland?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) is teased to shortly return from Peru. His loved ones and employer will be relieved, as Michael was oddly out of touch for an extended period.

Viewers recall that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) rehired Michael in anticipation of a Newman family storm. The addendum would be that the atmospheric change involves a Newman-Locke disturbance.

The Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drama has been building to a head in recent weeks. This storyline reached a crescendo and seems likely to result in a crash where Ashland could potentially be erased from the show. Hopefully, that outcome can be avoided.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Who Is More Deceitful?

Ashland built his life on incredible lies. Significant people in Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) life distrusted him before she added Locke to her last name. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) led that charge, going out of their way to protect Victoria from the aptly named Lockeness Monster.

Victor is late to the soapy party, claiming that he never trusted Ashland. As connected Genoa City, Wisconsin, residents, and viewers recall, Victor endorsed Ashland because of the Cyaxares deal and in thinking that the character Richard Burgi was playing at the time loved Victoria.

Ashland is claiming that he has been set up. At first, it seemed plausible that the first Peruvian doctor Michael spoke to was a disgruntled individual who had an ax to grind.

But obtaining verbal testimony from a second doctor at the clinic Ashland funded in Peru tested the above theory. So, Ashland seemed guilty.

However, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) raised an intriguing point when privately implying to Victor that he was setting Ashland up. The Moustache responded with a trademark non-denial.

Y&R Spoilers – Ashland Locke’s Way Out

If Ashland lied about having cancer, then Victoria’s out is clear. She already told Nick that Ashland’s claim of love is fake if he used the terminal illness claim.

If Michael was unknowingly used to gather the information that merely makes Ashland look guilty when he is not, then Y&R’s cast addition projects as indefinitely permanent.

Hopefully, Newman was not cast for a short-term stint. Adding a daytime royal to Y&R offers great potential. But Ashland seems cooked if he has not been reformed by love.
