This is what he posted to Insta: “Playing Rey Rosales and being part of the Rosales family was a beautiful chapter in my career. I was proud to represent my culture on daytimes #1 drama and work with an incredible cast and crew that I will miss dearly. Thank you @youngandrestlesscbs for always welcoming me and giving me the opportunity to tell stories that impacted millions. As this door closes, others will and have opened. Vilasuso joined the CBS soap in 2018. He will make his last appearance on the Genoa City, Wisconsin based sudser this spring. His onscreen wife Sharon Case (Sharon Rosales) replied to the news saying, “Jordi we are all so sorry to see you go. You have been a wonderful scene partner, fantastic actor and all around a really good man!!!! Thank you for being you. I was lucky to work with you ❤️.”

He is an upstanding guy and thus far has not strayed. His partner Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) is coming back to work, and it’s sadly much more likely that he is could be the one to cause Rey to depart town, given his uncontrolled ways at the moment.
