Prince Charles Praises Queen For Giving Camilla Parker Bowles Next Queen Consort Title

Royal Family news, and updates tease that Prince Charles praised and extended his gratitude to his mother, Queen Elizabeth, for giving her blessing to Camilla as the future Queen Consort.

Prince Charles and Camilla were long-time lovers and got married last 2005. Camilla was once criticized as being the reason for Prince Charles’ and Princess Diana’s broken marriage, but she got the hearts of many when she was hailed as Duchess of Cornwall. She constantly attends all official duties together with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.

On the eve of her 70th monarch anniversary, Queen Elizabeth released a message regarding her “sincere wish” to let Camilla “continue her loyal service” as Queen Consort when the time comes for Prince Charles to be crowned as king.

Prince Charles Acknowledges His Mother For Camilla’s Future Royal Duty

Prince Charles made a statement accepting his mother’s desire to make Camilla a queen to continue her service and support for the people.

“We are deeply conscious of the honor represented by my mother’s wish. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities. My darling wife has been my steadfast support throughout,” he stated.

He also celebrated his mother’s monarchy service for 70 years and hailed Queen Elizabeth as an example in leading the country, which he wished to continue in the years to come.

Royal Historian Reveals Reason Why Queen Elizabeth Hails Camilla As Future Queen

There are already clues that Camilla could be the future queen, like in 2016, the Queen added Camilla as a member of her Privy Council, and just last year, Camilla joined the Order of the Garter, which is the most senior rank of knighthood in the British honors system.

The Royal historian, Robert Lacey shared the reason why the monarch decided to make Camilla take her throne in the future. “In the message, she was acknowledging her mortality and looking to the future,” he stated.

Queen Elizabeth was also thinking about her late father, George VI, as well as her mother who showed constant support to her dad. Then, Prince Philip, whom she witnessed the “sacrifices and difficulties of being a consort.”

“Some people might have thought she would look back over her reign with this message, but she was looking forwards in a positive way,” Lacey continued.
