GH Spoilers: Alum A Martinez Pleads With Steve Burton And Others To Get Vaccinated

General Hospital (GH) former star A Martinez (ex-Roy DiLucca) has made a heartfelt plea for Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) and others to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Burton along with Ingo Rademacher (ex-Jasper Jack) lost their jobs at GH over Disney’s vaccine mandate.

General Hospital News – Steve Burton Continues To Make His Point

General Hospital former star Martinez responded to Burton’s recent Instagram post which didn’t directly attack the vaccine but drove home the point that he was doing what he feels is best for himself. Burton’s post read as follows, “You have one life live it. You have one body, exercise it. You have one mind, control it. You have one soul, feed it, Self discipline in these areas is self love. Every day is a new day to make a change. Don’t settle.. you have one life, make the most of it.” Burton had both positive and negative replies to his post. Martinez felt that need to comment as well.

General Hospital’s Burton got this response from Martinez, “It’s possible to cast oneself as a Man of Principle — an implicitly attractive role — while still doing immeasurable harm, Immeasurable because — though we know that long Covid and death are much more prevalent among the sea of non-vaccinated — no one can say for sure who exactly caused the next infections in the burgeoning pandemic to occur. You support the transmission mechanism, irrefutably, but can’t be personally blamed or anything — there’s an attractive proposition for ya!”

Martinez discusses variants of the virus and urges Steve Burton, and the rest of the world, to get vaccinated. Martinez ends with, “Meanwhile, we take refuge in the relative mildness of the latest variant, betting recklessly that the next one won’t be catastrophic, as we help enable its genesis by keeping the massive pool of illness alive and spreading, The losses, some of them so close to home, are heartbreaking. As is the stance you’ve taken — for which you’re so widely adored. Though I know you have reasons and have built your place in this with the care of an architect, it’s just heartbreaking, brother.”

ABC and Disney executives do not seem to be giving an inch on their mandate. However, you can bet your leather jacket that if Steve took the vaccine, Jason would be back on our General Hospital screens before Jason’s motorcycle warmed up.
