EastEnders Spoilers: Walford Braces For Mass Exodus, Who’s Leaving And Why

EastEnders Spoilers: Walford Braces For Mass Exodus, Who’s Leaving And WhyEastEnders spoilers tease that Walford will soon change in a drastic manner, with several characters taking their leave. Here we break down who is leaving the iconic BBC and why. Hint: part of the reason for the dramatic changes have to do with the show’s new executive producer Chris Clenshaw wanting to make his mark.

EastEnders spoilers – Barbara Smith As Dana Monroe

Barbara Smith is leaving her role as Dana Monroe. Dana debuted as Bobby’s girlfriend in early 2021, but speculation is centered on the bright young woman heading off to college before fall. The actress told Digital Spy at the British Soap Awards: “I’m feeling excited. I feel that Dana is definitely getting the send-off that she deserves. I think it’s about time for her to spread her wings. She’s a teenager at that age, so I think it really makes sense for the character and that’s all I was ever there to do. I think she will definitely get the happy ending she deserves – I hope so! I think she will, because she’s had a horrible time.”

EastEnders spoilers – Dayle Hudson As Peter Beale

Dayle came on as Peter in 2020; the role was previously played by Ben Hardy from 2013 to 2015, and Thomas Law from 2006 to 2010.

Peter is expected to leave later this month and we can tell you that he will get close with Dana. After his recent drama will Peter decide to get a new start somewhere else?

Also leaving is Kelsey Calladine-Smith as Jada Lennox. This character debuted in November as part of a mystery baby story. Fans ultimately learned that Jada is the mother of baby Alyssa, but alas, Jada’s time in Walford is short lived—she recently lost her job at the salon, and tried to kiss Zack, none of which bodes well for her longevity.

Expect Jada to leave sometime in the next few months.

EastEnders spoilers: Mass Exodus

Also leaving is Danielle Harold as Lola Pearce. Spoiler alert: Lola will be diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor and this story launches later this year so expect to see her for a few months yet.

EastEnders spoilers: Ricky Champ as Stuart Highway

Ricky Champ is leaving the role of Stuart Highway. According to Digital Spy, “Stuart’s exit is another character bowing out as part of Clenshaw’s new era. Ricky has been playing Stuart since 2018, when he was introduced as a long-lost friend of Mick Carter’s.”

And speaking of the infamous Mick Carter, Danny Dyer is departing the legendary soap very soon, too soon for many viewers’ tastes. Dyer debuted as the pub’s landlord in 2013, and the outlet reports that an epic storyline is planned for his departure.

An EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy: “Danny will be leaving EastEnders when his contract comes to an end later this year.”

“Danny has made Mick Carter an iconic character which we shall always be grateful for, however we won’t be saying goodbye just yet as there’s still quite some time – and plenty of explosive drama for Mick – to come before he departs Walford.”
