Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: A Difficult Goodbye For Jack

Days Of Our Lives - Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford)Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease there will be a difficult goodbye for Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) as she leaves for rehab. Her brother, Dr. Mike Horton (Roark Critchlow) will take her to a specialized facility in New York where he has practicing privileges, and Jen may be gone for a long time.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Jennifer Deveraux Relapsed

Jennifer relapsed into her opioid addiction while trying to be the strong one for the rest of her family after Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) death. Some small closure has been afforded now that Clyde Weston (James Read) has been sent back to Statesville Prison as her killer, but Jen still has a long way to go. She has been on pills for a while now, and the longer one is addicted the longer one takes to heal and be rehabilitated.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jack has to stay in Salem now to run the Salem Spectator, as well as cover all the stories since Abby’s gone and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) returned to Phoenix. If it was magazine instead of a newspaper that reported the news, Will could have stayed on long distance, telecommuting, and so could Jack.

DOOL Spoilers – So Many Separations So Many Years

Jack and Jen have had so many separations for so many years, with Jack having been presumed dead at least once, maybe more; his amnesiac years didn’t help. They made it through that long, long time she was with Mike settling their mother Laura Horton’s (Jaime Lyn Bauer) estate but he had Abby nearby.

Jack is still grieving too but Jennifer needs help, and the best thing for her is the facility where Mike has practicing privileges so he can watch over her. Jack is far from alone, however, with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) in town and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is an ever present mothering influence.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – A Realization

One thing that is a sobering thought for both Jack and Jen, that didn’t hit as hard when Jack’s sister Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) died is a realization tomorrow’s not promised. They never expected for their daughter to die so young, although they try not to be morbid and wonder if they will ever see each other again. Jack also has his daughter Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) and knowing there is forgiveness between her and Jennifer is a comfort for all.

Jack and Jennifer know that her rehabilitation process will take several months, and she’ll receive grief therapy as well since the root cause of addiction always must be addressed. That, and admitting one is addicted and wanting to get free from it are the major issues that someone addicted must deal with.
