Royal Family News: Kate Middleton’s New Coffee Table VS. Meghan Markle’s Children’s Book
Royal Family news features a battle of the Duchesses and their new books. Apparently, Kate Middleton hasn’t been getting much attention – or even much press lately – over her new coffee table book called Hold Still. Or at least, she’s not getting as much attention as Meghan Markle has these last few days after she announced that she wrote a children’s book called The Bench.
Clearly, there is definitely much more interest in Meghan’s book and so much so that royal fans haven’t even noticed that the Duchess of Cambridge’s book is due out on bookshelves beginning Friday, May 7th. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News – Kate Middleton’s New Coffee Table Book Is Not Getting As Much Attention
When Meghan Markle announced in a press release that she wrote a book about fatherhood and dedicated it to her husband Prince Harry and his relationship with their son Archie, it made headlines just about everywhere. In fact, there were some reports even suggesting that the Duchess of Sussex plagiarized it – even though she didn’t – and that she was paid $700,00 in advance for the book.
If that weren’t enough, her biggest critic Piers Morgan even said that Meghan is the last person that should be writing a book about fatherhood, seeing how she has a rather strained relationship with her own father, Thomas Markle, Sr.
In addition, some people believe that Meghan might have tried to steal Kate Middleton’s thunder by announcing her children’s book a few days before Kate’s Hold Still book makes its debut. The book is a collection of about 100 photos that have captured life in the UK during the Covid-19 lockdown last year.

British Royal Family News – The Battle Of The Royal Books
One source even told Britain’s The Daily Mirror that Meghan was apparently trying to upstage her sister-in-law by announcing her book, The Bench, during the same week that Cambridge’s team is doing publicity for Kate’s book. Either way, many critics would agree that Meghan has certainly won this PR round and might continue to do so in the coming weeks and months ahead. Do you agree?
