Royal Family News: Human Remains Found Near Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Home

Officials reported that human remains believed to be as old as ten thousand years were found a few yards away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito home.

A landscaping construction that took place last week on a road next to the royal couple’s $14.5 million Montecito complex uncovered the “very old” bones, according to a statement by the Santa Barbara sheriff’s officials published by Daily Mail.

Officials further told the British outlet that the remains appear to belong to a “young adult”.

Clues As To The Origins Of The Ancient Bones

After a preliminary test run by a forensic anthropologist that was brought in to assist investigators, it was found that the bones could possibly have belonged to the Chumash people who lived in the area for nearly 11,000 years, the report read.

“Until we have an official opinion from the forensic anthropologist, we’re not going to be saying one way or the other,” a law enforcement spokesman shared with the Mail.

The police are reportedly in talks with the local North American commission as to the fate of the bones if it is found to belong to an indigenous person.

The article further explained that a reservation was established for the Chumash in 1901, and it now houses up to 5,000 people.

Crimes In The Montecito Neighborhood

The investigation on the human remains is just one of the latest surrounding the Duke and the Duchess’ multi-million dollar property where they’ve lived since their move in 2020.

Though this is an elite neighborhood filled with very famous people and with secure private roads, cops have reportedly been called into the neighborhood nine times in as many months, the Mail wrote in April.

An intruder was arrested after he was found trying to breach the property twice around Christmas. The 37-year-old-man named Nickolas Brooks reportedly drove all the way from Ohio to the property and was caught trespassing on Christmas Eve. He was let to go the first time with only a warning, but he repeated the trespassing leading to his arrest.

At the time, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex became concerned as to the security of their home where they live with their 2-year-old son Archie.

The exclusive neighborhood is home to the likes of talk show icons Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, and is 90 miles north of Los Angeles.
