Days of Our Lives Spoilers tease that an old enemy has returned to vex Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and her friends and family. It was twenty-five years ago that Marlena was first possessed by the devil and now he’s come back to continue what he started all those years ago. That means a lot of chaos and destruction as well as murder and mayhem are going to run rampant in Salem this fall. The last time Marlena was possessed, the love of her life, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was the priest who performed the exorcism. John is no longer a priest, and is now married to Marlena. So he’s going to need quite a bit of help in order to save Marlena. And while Will Horton isn’t particularly religious, he is definitely a force for good. So when he gets wind of what is happening in Salem, look for him and his husband Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) to come running.

Sonny and Will are happily married, but when they were last seen in Beyond Salem, Sonny mistakenly believed that Will had been cheating on him. Sonny is obviously very sensitive to the fact that Will did indeed cheat on him years ago. Even if the do find themselves in Salem, it wouldn’t be much of a shock if the devil tried to convince Sonny that Will was once again cheating. Causing strife is what the devil does and if Will is distracted with Sonny, he may not be able to help to save Marlena!

Will has a lot of memories with Marlena. She even officiated at Will and Sonny’s last marriage. If anyone can help John save Marlena, it may just be these two. But it’s not going to be an easy task, and it may cost one or both of them more than they ever could have imagined. It’s going to be a dark time in Salem this fall, but hopefully Sonny and Will can bring some much needed light!
