The tweet said, “From a source: Patrick Mulcahey, a writer from Bold & Beautiful, has been offered the Head Writer position for Y&R. But he’s not sure if he wants the job and all the responsibility. He may agree to come on as Co-Head Writer. Stay tuned!”

Viewers may recall that Mulcahey recently left B&B after 15 years of being part of the show. He worked as a scriptwriter from 2005 and he also served as the soap’s story consultant from 2009 to 2019. He explained that he needed a break before moving on to his next gig. He hopes his next project would be as great as his experience at his former soap.
