Rumors have been making rounds online that a new head writer is joining the team of “The Young and the Restless.” There was wide speculation in the Twitter world that the former scribe of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Patrick Mulcahey is moving over to its sister soap “The Young and the Restless.”
The tweet said, “From a source: Patrick Mulcahey, a writer from Bold & Beautiful, has been offered the Head Writer position for Y&R. But he’s not sure if he wants the job and all the responsibility. He may agree to come on as Co-Head Writer. Stay tuned!”
Viewers may recall that Mulcahey recently left B&B after 15 years of being part of the show. He worked as a scriptwriter from 2005 and he also served as the soap’s story consultant from 2009 to 2019. He explained that he needed a break before moving on to his next gig. He hopes his next project would be as great as his experience at his former soap.
