General Hospital’s Ava Jerome (Maura West) has revealed her plan for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). However, Ava’s plan just may fall through, what if her marriage isn’t legal?

Nik Was Married To Hayden

General Hospital’s Nik was married to Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) when he supposedly died. Nik was presumed dead, just like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). However, now that he’s alive, is he still married to Hayden? Jason and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) had to get divorced so she could marry Drew Cain (Billy Miller). Is this the case with Nik as well? Did Hayden and Nik divorce while they were working on this plot for him to take back the Cassadine fortune? Did Nik marry Ava’s knowing she has no ties to anything because the marriage isn’t legal? Will Ava figure this out before it’s too late?

The Marriage May Not Be Legal

General Hospital’s Ava could be overlooking a huge matter here. If Nik is still married to Hayden, their marriage is not legal. Nik could simply be pacifying Ava by letting her think she has something on him until she hands over the codicil. The only thing Nik is worried about is the Cassadine money. Ironically, it should be Valentin’s money if they have any because Nik himself claimed Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) had depleted the Cassadine fortune years ago. However, any papers signed by Nik, such as a postnuptial agreement would be null and void of the marriage was a sham. Nik has been playing Ava since his return, why would he be honest with her now? Nik has turned into a true Cassadine, there is no way he is going to let Ava take anything away from him. After Nik torturing Ava over her daughter’s death, Ava should realize this and not trust him at all.

Would Nik Kill Ava?

General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) even sees this as a flawed plan and has pointed that out. Sonny is afraid that his daughter Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) will end up getting hurt by this mess. Sonny’s theory is that Nik could very well murder Ava. Sonny already knows that Nik has no regard for his own child, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Bechtel). In Sonny’s eyes, Nik would not have faked his death and let his son grieve for three years for him. If Nik would lie to his own son, Nik could very easily kill off Ava. Ava’s death would hurt Avery and that compared with Sonny’s love for his nephew could spell doom for Nik.

Is this marriage valid and will Ava get her revenge? Ava has no regard for Spencer or she wouldn’t have lied for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Will Ava survive being married to a Cassadine?
