The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, December 25: Silence Expensive for Adam, Secret Vegas Payments – Faith Needs Boy Advice

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, December 25, tease that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will get a warm welcome home. At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) there with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) when Faith arrives. Faith talks to her mom briefly before her big sisters arrive. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) are eager to catch up with Faith, so they all head out to the patio.

Faith confesses that she likes a boy and shows them his picture. She wants advice on how to get him to notice her. Mariah thinks that’s Summer’s department, so Summer suggests that Faith should just be herself. She doesn’t think Faith should settle for anybody who doesn’t make her feel treasured. Mariah and Summer want Faith to know that they support her. Faith is thankful for her older siblings, so they all go in for a group hug.

Meanwhile, Sharon frets to Rey about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). Rey wonders how much of this is actually about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), so Sharon admits that’s part of it. She wants to give Connor better ways of coping and keep him out of the same dark place his dad was in. Sharon adds that she won’t put what she has with Rey in jeopardy.

Faith eventually rejoins Sharon and embraces her. She makes Sharon feel like the luckiest mom in the world. Back with Mariah and Summer, the topic of Kyle comes up. Summer insists that nothing’s happening with her ex since she’s matured and has moved on.

At the Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is picking up some dropped papers when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) pipes up nearby. She isn’t sure Amanda would want help from a lightning rod like her. Amanda is sorry for how she reacted to Phyllis’ request for legal assistance. Phyllis admits she appreciates Amanda’s honesty and hints that they could be friends. She encourages Amanda to stick around and live at the hotel.

Next, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrives and plays backgammon with Amanda. They discuss Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), but Nate acknowledges he’ll have to keep his worlds separate when it comes to Amanda and “Elevon.”

Talk turns to Christmas, which Amanda isn’t big on. Nate’s worried about Amanda being alone, but she’s been finding ways to fill her time. She gets Nate curious, so he asks if this involves any new gentlemen. Although Amanda suggests she’s not a hermit, she doesn’t mention Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) shows up to meet with “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz). Chance wanted to give Adam the heads-up on his decision to stay in Genoa City. He gets that he’s a reminder of things they’d both like to forget, but he intends to remain where his roots are.

Phyllis ends up eavesdropping as Chance discusses the jam Adam got him out of in Vegas. She knocks something over and is discovered, so she takes the opportunity to warn Chance. Phyllis feels like Adam’s going to stab Chance in the back eventually. Once Adam takes off, Phyllis pushes Chance to divulge what this jam of his was. Chance thinks this is about getting dirt she can use against Adam.

After going back and forth a bit, Chance makes it clear that he’s not Phyllis’ friend and wants nothing to do with her kind. As Chance heads out, Phyllis picks up the cash he left on the table. At home, Adam speaks with someone over the phone and asks about things in Vegas. He wants to make sure “she” is still getting the payments. Adam notes that silence is expensive but essential.

Back at Society, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) chat as they wait on their husbands to join them. When Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) walk in, they’re bickering about a game of racquetball. The argument gets louder and more intense, but Lauren and Christine convince them to calm down.

After Christine and Lauren admit they were considering going on strike as wives, Paul and Michael promise to never argue again. Lauren talks about Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin’s (Zach Tinker) recovery and insists he’s doing well. Christine alludes to some ideas she has for her next act. The gang will eventually raise their glasses to friendship.
