The Young and the Restless spoilers note that it might not be Halloween yet in the real world, but in Genoa City, residents are already celebrating the holidays!

Key Takeaways

• Melissa Ordway shares a behind-the-scenes video.
• The actress teases a mysterious Y&R secret.
• Christmas scenes are being filmed at the Abbott mansion.

• Billy and Sally could celebrate Ruby’s first Christmas with the family.

A Day In The Life Of A Soap Opera Diva

Ordway hopped on Instagram and uploaded a video of herself on the Young and the Restless set.

The caption for the reel read, “Come to work with me today …”

She showed IG followers that she has two drinks with her at all times: iced coffee and iced tea.

Ordway also showed fans the backstage makeup and beauty crew at the CBS soap.

The actress did a transition shot, showing herself before and then after she got her makeup and hair done.

She was wearing a sparkly black dress and blew a kiss to the camera.

This is when things get interesting!

Ordway went on to say in the video, after she wrapped up filming for the day, that there was a “secret” happening on the daytime drama that fans couldn’t know about.

They would just have to keep watching the Young and the Restless!

Of course, Ordway has shared behind-the-scenes secrets about Abby’s storylines before, so fans know she enjoys giving them a glimpse of what happens on set.

More Christmas Spoilers

Ordway also shared an interesting clip on her IG Stories from Y&R Insider’s Instagram account.

It was a holiday scene filmed at the Abbott mansion.

With a Christmas tree in the background and the house decorated festively, it’s clear that the family is going to do it up big again this year.

Abby is in the clip, along with her husband, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James), as well as their little guy, Dominic Winters-Chancellor (Ethan Ray Clark).

In fact, Abby is wearing the same black dress that Ordway wears after filming in her vlog, so it’s clear that the show is currently filming Christmas episodes.

Fans have already seen plenty of Abbott family appearances and reunions in recent Y&R casting updates, but the holidays could bring even more familiar faces together.

A Very Abbott Christmas

In addition, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) are also in the Y&R Insider clip.

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) isn’t seen, so could she and Kyle still be keeping their love affair a secret well into the holidays?

Of course, her absence from this particular clip doesn’t necessarily mean she won’t appear in the Christmas episodes.

As Victoria and Kyle’s dangerous romance continues to threaten the Newman and Abbott families, it will be interesting to see whether their secret survives until Christmas.

Meanwhile, Sally Spectra Abbott (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) could celebrate Ruby Abbott’s first Christmas with Billy’s family, so there should be some sweet moments ahead.

In addition, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) are celebrating with the rest of the gang.

Will Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) also make an appearance?

It’ll be interesting to see what family drama arises during the holidays, right?!

Annemarie’s Take

I love seeing the Abbott mansion decorated for Christmas! It’s one of those classic Y&R traditions that always makes the holidays feel special.

I’m especially looking forward to seeing Abby, Devon, and Dominic together, along with Billy and Sally celebrating Ruby’s first Christmas.

But I’m also wondering what Melissa Ordway’s mysterious secret could be. And if Victoria and Kyle are still sneaking around by Christmas, I can’t imagine that ending well!

What do you think Melissa Ordway’s big secret is, and which Abbott family member would you most like to see return for Christmas?
