This is Us Spoilers: Chrissy Metz Talks Kate Pearson Hits Lowest Point After Devastating Loss

This is Us spoilers indicate that Kate (Chrissy Metz) might be the next Pearson family member headed towards a downward spiral just like her brother, Kevin (Justin Hartley). As a matter of fact, actress Chrissy Metz hinted that fans will be seeing Kate at her most vulnerable, as she now faces challenges that she’s never had to deal with before.

Kate has been hiding the news that she is pregnant from her friends and family just because it’s such a high-risk pregnancy. She didn’t want to keep her hopes up high. Unfortunately, she’s now dealing with a nightmare situation every woman fears the most: she miscarries her baby.

Speaking about her character’s loss, Chrissy recently told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s definitely raw, and we see Kate at her most vulnerable. We’ve not seen her this vulnerable yet. She feels very alone in this journey, until she has help from people who really do love her, and she’s just so uncertain about the whole journey because it’s unchartered territory.”

What’s more, fans will be seeing how Chrissy deals with her loss and how it affects her relationship with Toby. And according to the actress, it’s a subject matter that a lot of people don’t like to talk about.

She continued, “There’s just a lot of shame surrounding it. [She’s] feeling that she’s the only one going through it but your other half actually goes through it too even though it might not be a physical change. He’s definitely feeling the pain and the grief as well.”

Chrissy also hints that Kate might be feeling a lot of resentment towards Toby and how he’s handling their loss. This is Us airs every Tuesday at 9 pm EST on the NBC network. Tell us, what do you think is next for Kate Pearson?
