The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Oddly Endorses Juliet – Lane or Jane Question Considered

Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) judgment has been bad lately on ‘The Young and the Restless’. His most recent misguided decision apparently led to a night with Juliet (Laur Allen) while they were in Japan. Considering the doubts he’s had about Miss Helton’s intentions, why would he ask Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to hire her?

Cascading events happen in life. Surely that appears to be the case where Cane is concerned. It makes sense that the surgery and resultant recovery time he endured, combined with Colin’s (Tristan Rogers) unexpected stay at his family’s home served to push Cane’s work life off-center as well.

Viewers recall that Mr. Ashby’s worlds combined recently when Lily’s (Christel Khalil) seeming one-time return to modeling served to reignite her career. Cane reacted selfishly and then saw Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) as a threat to his marriage.

Those who believe they’re enlightened might have sided with Lily and Jordan in both instances. But ‘Lane’s’ history hasn’t been compartmentalized by everyone. So the mark Joe (Scott Elrod) left in Cane’s mind might have been underplayed, or ignored by haughty members of the relativist community.

During the above time reference, Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) were hugging one day and battling the next. Those hardly consistent former equals don’t trust Cane and he knows it. ‘Villy’s’ personal history overrides Cane’s contribution to Brash and Sassy without question.

Jill (Jess Walton) recently surprised the three-headed monster she installed as the revived cosmetics company’s executive board by offering equal, one-third controlling shares. But Victor (Eric Braeden) inspired Victoria to tap into the individual $500 million cash reserves he was legally bound to give her and her siblings years ago. She did so and opted to buy Jill’s whole pie for herself.

The need for an Asian region representative puts Juliet in play for the position based on her qualifications and recent performance in Tokyo. A true test of her intentions will come if she’s not hired, as Cane unusually wishes. Whether ‘Lane’ switches to ‘Jane’ will also be a legitimate issue to consider in coming weeks as well.
