‘General Hospital’ News: When Will Nick Stabile Take Over For Tyler Christopher As Nikolas Cassadine?

‘General Hospital’ spoilers revealed last month that Tyler Christopher is temporarily leaving the ABC soap opera, and actor Nick Stabile has joined the ‘GH’ cast and will be taking over as Nikolas Cassadine. Although neither ‘GH’ nor Tyler Christopher confirmed the news or addressed that casting switch – word on the internet is that Christopher and TPTB are having a tough time with contract negotiations.

Obviously, right now is the absolute worst time for Tyler Christopher to not be filming, his character Nikolas Cassadine is caught up in a major storyline. While Nik is believed to be dead, Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) are on a mission to prove otherwise. Meanwhile, Ava Jerome (Maura West) found Nik on yesterday’s episode, and things are about to get VERY interesting.
So, when will Nick Stabile take over for Tyler Christopher as Nikolas Cassadine? Well, according to Soaps.com’s exclusive spoilers, Stabile will begin airing on the ABC soap opera in “mid-June.” Seeing as how we are smack dab in the middle of the month of June, that means any day now!
It’s unclear when/if Tyler Christopher will be back as Nikolas Cassadine on ‘General Hospital.’ But, we are seriously hoping that they get everything straightened out, ASAP. We’re sure that Nick Stabile is a lovely actor, but i think we can all agree that it just won’t be the same without Tyler Christopher at the helm.

Nicholas should be treated as the leading actor that he is with his contract signed sealed and delivered! Why does ABC do this to it’s main characters? And have the audacity to add characters to the canvas that are not needed, looked for or wanted by the audience.
Pay the main actors what they are worth and leave out marginal actors.
Amy can go, Christina’s new boy can go, red jackets can be dispensed with!
If the canvas is less crowded that allowed for a bigger budget to be paid out to the actors that make GH.
The problems with TC taking a leave of absence has absolutely nothing to do with his contract.
Due to the death of his Mother,Tyler has personal issues he is dealing with,and GH and ABC graciously gave him time off to deal with them.
I personally wish him luck and a speedy return to GH.
It has absolutely nothing to do with his contract. His mother just pass away and he is dealing with personal issues. Let’s all pray for Tyler Christopher in the death of his mother. And I hope and pray he comes back. No one can never replace Tyler Christopher he is a amazing actor. So sorry for your loss Tyler Christopher I hope you will return soon because it wouldn’t be the same without you!! Please come back to the show. God Bless You Tyler Christopher and Your Family.
HELL NO!!! I an not excited to see the new actor replace Nic, I want to see Jason smash him right in the face for lying about is identy!
I was sorry to read about Tyler’s mother passing away. His fans need to understand he is grieving and needs the time off. I don’t believe he’s leaving permanently and their is a temporary replacement for him. He probably has a lot of things to deal with and when he’s ready he will be back.
