'General Hospital' News: 'GH' Alum Rick Springfield's Devious New Primetime Gig!Supernatural’s Season 12 is already looking like it will be quite entertaining for fans, hopefully drawing in new fans and even fans of ‘General Hospital’. Rick Springfield (GH’s Dr. Noah Drake aka Eli Love) has agreed to raise hell in several episodes in the upcoming season of Supernatural!!

At the end of season 11, Lucifer had taken possession of Castiel’s body, but will be trying out a few different “bodies” (bodies, often referred to as “Vessels”), this season. The first vessel that Lucifer is going to settle into, will be Rick Springfield’s, whose character eerily resembles the alter ego he played on General Hospital for many years. He will be a rock star who is a little bit down on his luck in the music industry, trying to make a comeback!

For longtime fans, there seems to be a bit of conflict here because most of them love Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer, and we all know how it feels to have a major character recast, but who knows if this is going to happen the whole season? The spoilers indicate that there will be several vessels Lucifer will go through, so let’s not ditch all hope for Mark’s return! That being said, there is no doubt that Rick Springfield could bring in a whole new following to the show.
