Get ready because Freddie Highmore says the story “definitely feels fresh and new. It’s about reestablishing these new rules. And lots of that is going to take place in Norman’s mind.”
In Norman’s mind his mother is not really dead so fans will see how that manifest itself throughout the final season. Freddie says it’s going to be incredible so viewers shouldn’t miss one moment. Vera Farmiga, despite being killed off as Norman’s mother, will play a new version of the character she as portrayed for four seasons of ‘Bates Motel.’
A new photo of Freddie Highmore recreating Anthony Perkins iconic photo posing underneath the owl statue. This photo of Perkins was used to promote the original release of ‘Psycho’ in 1960. This seems to be a tease to fans that the fifth and final season of ‘Bates Motel’ may have a lot in common with the original Alfred Hitchcock movie.
