Y&R Spoilers: Sharon’s New Story & Hot Romance – Writing Shift Brings Chance To Shine?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has been stuck on the sidelines for far too long.

Sharon tends to be a supporting player in other characters’ stories instead of getting one of her own, but this just might be the perfect time for a big change.

You’ve probably heard by now that Josh Griffith’s replacements have been named in the head writer position.

Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor are taking over as the show’s co-head writing duo, so it won’t be long until Y&R gets a reboot.

Of course, this could offer a chance to give certain characters a fresh start as well. Sharon definitely needs to be on the list of Genoa City residents who deserve better.

Sharon Case is a fantastic actress and a fan favorite, so it doesn’t make sense for the show to keep wasting her talents. Since Sharon is a popular character too, there’s no reason for her to take a backseat in GC.

Now that O’Connor and Giddens are set to become top scribes, perhaps they’ll give Sharon a new story and a hot romance. Sharon could head down a different path that gives her more airtime and more opportunities to shine.

Some Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) fans are holding out hope that they’ll finally move forward as a real couple.

Other viewers have given up on Sharon fully reuniting with Nick and would like to see her get a new beginning with someone else.

Either way, it’d be nice for Sharon to have a love life again. Sharon could sizzle with Nick or someone else depending on what Giddens and O’Connor have in mind for her romantically.

As for Sharon’s next storyline, plenty of fans are eager to see one of those for her. Sharon was involved in the chaotic climax of the Vegas drama, but she hasn’t had much to do since then.

It’d be great if Sharon could consistently get some better material, so let’s hope that O’Connor and Giddens will make it happen following their co-head writing takeover.
