Devon Winters’ Former Flame Returns
The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Roxanne Barrington, once played by Tatyana Ali, will return to the CBS soap in November.
With that said, the role has been recast.
As per reports, actress Tetona Jackson is slated to take over the role.
Roxanne was on the canvas from 2007-2013 and was Devon Winters’ (Bryton James) girlfriend.
As previously reported in the latest Y&R casting news, Roxanne’s return could bring some interesting complications for Devon and Abby’s marriage.
New Character Alert
In addition, actor Fareed Ward will enter storylines in November and has been cast in the role of Dr. Andrew Bishop.
Andrew works at Genoa City Memorial along with Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), so fans can expect some drama for this new couple thanks to Bishop.
In fact, Andrew’s arrival has already sparked speculation about a possible romance with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Both Ward and Jackson are expected to appear beginning November 11, although Ward is featured in the November 2-6 preview.
More Casting News
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of November 2 confirm that some favorites who aren’t always on screen will pop up on the canvas.
Abby Winters, played by Melissa Ordway, will get more screen time as her sister-in-law, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), vents about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) wanting a baby.
Abby will also wonder if she’s pregnant herself, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with this storyline.
Abby has had difficulties getting pregnant and staying pregnant in the past, so is this for real, or will Abby be mistaken?
As the November 2-6 preview reveals, Abby’s pregnancy concerns and Andrew’s hospital appearance will bring some surprises.
In addition, The Bug and The Rockstar will be seen as Lauralee Bell returns to play Christine Romalotti and Michael Damian comes back as Danny Romalotti.
Finally, Esther Valentine will be seen in the days ahead as Kate Linder pops up on the canvas.
Annemarie’s Take
I’m really interested in seeing Roxanne back in Genoa City after all these years. Devon has a whole new life with Abby now, so bringing back an old girlfriend could certainly stir up some trouble!
And I have to wonder what Dr. Andrew Bishop is going to bring to the hospital. Nate and Stephanie are just getting their romance going, and the last thing they need is someone creating complications.
As for Abby possibly being pregnant, that could be a huge storyline considering everything she went through to have Dominic. I hope the writers handle it carefully!
