An update from Edmond police on May 4 confirmed multiple shooting victims at a party near Arcadia Lake in Oklahoma. It’s not something that seems uncommon stateside, but people still hate random true crime that hurts innocent young people. Read on for more details.
The News Is Upsetting
Per an early report by OCK Fox, the gunfire started at around 9:00 p.m. Well it didn’t take long for officers from Edmond Police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma City Police, and Edmond Fire departments to arrive. Apparently, two shooters were involved, but they wore masks.
From the sound of things, plenty of people made 911 calls about shots being fired. Panic seemed obvious, because the reality of the true crime revealed a lot of injured folks. About 10 people ended up being transported from the Arcadia Lake area to local hospitals.

However others treated themselves, or went off with friends or family for treatment. So, exact figures are still being collated. Later, an update arrived live on COCO 5 News on YouTube.
The Update
The spokesperson noted that most of the people involved were young adults. But here’s the thing. There isn’t a suspect for the random shooting. Despite that, officials claimed that folks in the area shouldn’t be afraid as there is currently no known threat to the public.
Certainly, it sounds like officers are a bit stretched as they worked throughout the night. And, it’s expected the followups will continue through the day as well.
It’s hoped that camera surveillance might help eliminate or pinpoint a suspect. So, apart from interviewing witnesses, efforts will be made to try and identify a potential vehicle used in committing the shooting crime near Lake Arcadia.

- Watching from Los Angeles, Ca heard about this thru Facebook, not much coverage on it tho. Prayers to the victims.
- This is scary. I was fishing Lake Hefner at this time.
