Last month General Hospital introduced their new Serena Baldwin recast, Kelly Kruger. Soap fans are familiar with the actress, and she has already appeared on The Young and the Restless and was married to a Bold and the Beautiful fan fave. Now, Kelly Kruger is adding GH to her resume.
Kelly Kruger Reveals GH Connection
Kelly Kruger recently revealed in an interview that she actually has a special tie to fan fave Kelly Monaco, and has been a longtime fan of General Hospital.
Monaco played the part of Sam McCall for decades before she officially exited in November 2024. You will never guess how the Kelly’s know each other!
While chatting with TV Insider, the Serena Baldwin portrayer revealed that Kelly Monaco was her roommate MANY years ago. In fact, she used to help Kelly rehearse her lines as Sam McCall!
GH And The Two Kelly’s
Kelly Kruger dished, “I used to be really good friends with Kelly Monaco [Sam McCall] when I first moved to L.A. She was on Port Charles [as Livvie Locke], and she was like a big sister to me. I was driving her to work and sleeping on her couch — I didn’t have a place to live — so she was a really big presence in my early years here.”
The new Serena Baldwin added, “This was the first set I’d ever been on, so this is such a full-circle moment for me. The stars aligned, they were inspired to bring back the character, and everything just happened really, really perfectly.”
