Following his arrest, the details involving the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez seem so horrific that many folks wish they never heard them. Read on for more details. But caution, it seems the allegations seem particularly disturbing.

A Respectful But Horrifying Report

Fox News reporter Christina Gonzalez managed to be admirably respectful of Celeste, but even so, the report on YouTube shocked many folks, and with very good reason. Ready to read on? Here we go.

Gonzalez reported about court documents that the defense tried sealing. However, the judge denied their request. So, she explained what prosecutors say happened to 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

What she covered, gave her pause because she warned viewers about the contents multiple times before she started revealing more.

“This is disturbing stuff,” Gonzalez said during her monologue. “It’s a good reason why they wanted it sealed.”

The Prosecution Claims

According to the prosecution, d4vd met Celeste when she was 11 years old. At the time, he was 18, and two years later, they started dating. Next, a sexual relationship started, and rightly, viewers noted that indicated pedophilia.

Prosecutors believe her parents found out and took her phone away because she kept running back to him. So, Burke bought her a new phone and “had it delivered” to her “junior high school.”

The Night Before Her Death

Some folks already heard about the night before Celeste died, and we reported on how they felt bad for any jury who had to listen to the evidence. More details emerged, and apparently Celeste felt upset because Burke saw other girls. Allegedly she threatened to reveal information that would “ruin his career.”

Court proceedings revealed that prosecutors say Burke called an Uber for her on April 23. He paid the driver to drop her off at his house, and that is when he killed her.

“They say he stabbed her to death,” Gonzalez reported. “And he actually waited, according to this complaint until she, quote-unquote, bled out.”

The Santa Barbara Road Trip

Allegedly, Burke then took her phone and drove elsewhere. True crime followers might recall that at one stage, the news arrived that investigators took a lot of interest in his trip to the Santa Barbara area.

Well, it seems that d4vd tried diverting attention away from himself as a murderer in the trip, by sending Celeste Rivas Hernandez text messages. In them, he asked where she was. But in reality, he knew very well that she was dead in his home.

The Dismemberment

Forensic evidence might prove that he ordered a “burn cage” from Amazon. Oh, not to mention other tools previously mentioned by a private investigator. They included shovels and other equipment that could have been used to dismember the teen. Not too clever, it seems, he arranged delivery. So that could help provide a paper trail.

Later, while frustrated true crime followers accused the investigation of stalling, what they didn’t know, was that a search warrant for his garage turned up DNA related to a “kiddie pool.” And, it’s thought that’s where d4vd dismembered Celeste.

Gonzalez noted that one detail stood out. “Specifically, jarring is taking away her pinky finger because his name was tattooed on it.”

An Uphill Road For The Defense

Burke pleaded not guilty to all charges, and we previously reported that his legal team claims the evidence will prove David Burke did not kill Celeste. If you don’t know, the charges include “first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains.”

Additionally, other aspects include allegations of “lying in weight, killing for financial gain, killing of a witness, and using a sharp instrument” to commit a murder. And, that’s why a guilty verdict could lead to the death penalty, which seems unsual in California these days.

Well, that seems like a difficult task for the defense. Especially, as the judge decided the public had a right to know what prosecutors plan to present at the preliminary hearing on May 26.

Shocked Viewers React

In the comments under the report, people said they regretted hitting play. After all, the allegations seem way worse than they ever imagined.

One viewer wrote, “This turned out to be even more disturbing than I had initially imagined, and that was a high bar to clear.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • This is so shocking. It’s worse than I pictured. Poor Celeste.
  • I feel so nauseous my goodness. That poor baby must’ve felt so much pain and I cannot believe David was just living his life and performing like nothing.
  • Just when I think this case can’t shock me anymore…my goodness.
  • Wow… Just wow… If this is how things went down.
  • To hear all the facts, prosecution has to prove David is guilty of the killing. Dunno how the defense can challenge all the evidence the reporter just explained.
  • How does one do what he did to another human being?!? This is crazy.
