The search for Nancy Guthrie nears the three-month mark, and a veteran FBI expert thinks a local person possibly abducted her. While the case appears cold, a new look at the forensic evidence suggests a breakthrough in the true crime case might happen soon. Read on to find out more.

The Front Door Blood

Jim Clemente, a retired FBI profiler, recently spoke with TMZ and he mentioned the well-reported blood pattern at Nancy’s Tucson home. Clemente believes the patterns on the front porch indicate that Savannah Guthrie’s mom didn’t go quietly into the night.

His interpretation of the blood droplets indicates that Nancy Guthrie stood her ground and someone likely “struck her in the face,” which made her “cough up blood” near the ground.

Another thing that he took away from the blood focused on the way it possibly “rules out multiple offenders.” In his experienced opinion, two or more people probably wouldn’t let an 84-year-old woman fall to the ground. Instead, he believes a single attacker assaulted her “into compliance” before he carried her to a waiting vehicle.

The Uber Driver Theory

Plenty of theorists think a vehicle waited nearby to get the elderly woman away. Well, he didn’t rule out an Uber driver. In fact, while some folks can’t get their heads around the apparent sophistication of the abduction, he believes the abductor likely lives in Tucson and has a “passing connection” to Nancy.

Notably, that might include someone like an “Uber or Lyft driver,” a “repair person,” or even someone who “delivered packages.” Actually, the task force apparently currently looks at interviewing all contractorswho might have been inside the property.

Mistakes That Were Made

Despite the apparently unsolvable nature of the true crime, the suspect made errors. Clemente pointed out several “major mistakes,” like wearing light-colored clothes with “reflective straps” for a night job.

Notably, only one retailer sells that backpack, and the “wrist tattoo” might have caught the camera’s eye when the man tried blocking the lens.

While many true crime followers think he may have been some sort of professionally trained person, they seem rather amateurish mistakes. So, that takes speculation about some sort of black op off the table.

Interest Remains High

In the times of the internet, headlines pop up and evaporate within days. For example, Ashlee Buzzard was big news when her daughter Melodee went missing. But since the discovery of the child’s body, and Ashlee’s first appearance in court, interest dwindled.

However, in the case of Nancy Guthrie, interest remains very high. Possibly, that’s because many folks can relate to the idea of an elderly, terrified parent. So, plenty of people reacted in the comments section.

Viewers React

One viewer wrote, “Facts. All these experts called him a amateur but it’s going on 3 months. Hes making a mockery out them.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • If an uber driver is responsible for this, he’s working far below his pay grade to pull this off this way.
  • When he walks up to that porch his VERY FIRST ACTION tells you what he does for work. This man literally pulled out weeds to cover the camera I own a landscaping company and that stood out to me immediately cause anyone else I believe would rip it off busted it. but no you go and pull some weeds. come on he is a landscaper in that neighborhood. hell his business card is probably in her home.
  • Her Uber Driver has already been cleared of suspicion…
