Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Wants Back In For Royal Christmas

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly adding some strain to the Royal Family regarding the upcoming Christmas season at Sandringham. The news comes hot on the heels of his legal win over Thames Valley Police and their search warrants. It seems he wants to be included again, and perhaps his win made him feel vindicated.

A Christmas Return?

Each year, the Royal Family gathers at the Sandringham Estate for Christmas. Rumors suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not get the nod. And, anyway, it’s thought they might go stateside for their holiday.

But the idea of King Charles and William wanting to let Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor back seems a bit like a difficult call for the family. Andrew didn’t attend last year, but allegedly, he really wants back in this year.

According to the Examiner, William and King Charles might balk at the idea, but the outlet claimed Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward are all encouraging the monarch to dish out a bit of leniency to the disgraced former prince.

Andrew Wants Back In

The desire to attend the Sandringham Christmas with the family didn’t come directly from Andrew. Instead, the outlet wrote:

“Obviously, Andrew’s troubles are far from over,” the source says. “He’s still extremely worried about the ongoing case as well as money, but this latest win has definitely done wonders for his confidence and overall energy levels.”

Difficult Position For The Royals

There’s something else for Royal Family fans to think about. These days, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lives at Sandringham, and how would it look if he was practically shut out during the season of peace, love, and generosity?

People notice things about the Royal Family, and they definitely would notice if the monarch decided to get the clan together at a different location.

Prince William Isn’t Keen

There’s more. It’s already been discussed in podcasts for months that Prince William isn’t keen on connecting with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry again. But notably, he also doesn’t seem keen to spend time with Uncle Andrew. Right now, it seems that William could be juggling social events as if they were hot potatoes.

Either way, it seems that this Christmas season isn’t likely to be a smooth one. EDP24 cited Closer magazine as saying:

“Charles wants him at arm’s length, and William is totally opposed to the idea of his disgraced uncle coming anywhere near the family, on Christmas Day of all days.”

The Public Hasn’t Forgotten

It seems like a sticky situation. The public doesn’t seem keen on seeing Andrew doing anything remotely enjoyable. His links to Jeffrey Epstein have never been forgotten. Some of them even claimed on social media that King Charles didn’t go far enough with punishing him.

After his arrest and questioning by police over allegations that he shared sensitive information during his time as a UK trade envoy, some folks claim he should be seeing the inside of prison, not a life of luxury and small pleasures.
