A Recent Interview

On October 8, Us Weekly singled Jenny out for their Reality Stars of the Year feature. Sadly, the TLC star’s battle with the neurodegenerative disease is very real, and she told the outlet, “Sumit does everything for me…Going through this has made me even more grateful for the life we have together.”

Back in September, Jenny and Sumit appeared on 90 Day: The Last Resort, and in the Season 3 Tell All, host Ross Mathews directly asked them about Jenny’s deteriorating health.

Reluctant to talk, possibly because she has some difficulty speaking, she handed over to Sumit Singh.

TV Insider confirmed what he said. He explained, “When we come back to India after The Last Resort, we noticed some kind of changes, like, which she was struggling from in her voice and her balance, and even choking on water and small things.”

Some social media posts claimed that Jenny Slatten was bedridden or completely helpless. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. There is no cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, but for now, Jenny still manages with the help of Sumit.

The 90 Day Fiancé star confirmed her diagnosis back in May and by August she described her symptoms as progressing. If you were not aware, E!News confirmed that Jenny’s dad assed away from the disease.

Ahead of the weekend, USANews24 shared that Jenny’s friend, Penny, said that she’s on medication to help slow the progression, but she’s allegedly feeling fatigued and struggling to talk comfortably.

Sumit, the friend confirmed, has become a very hands-on caregiver to his wife.

TLC fans saw a relationship blossom that seemed extremely unlikely. Remember, she went to India, and she was much older than Sumit Singh. Then she found out that he was already in an arranged marriage.

His parents totally opposed their relationship, but despite that, the couple managed to sort out their issues and make something positive out of their relationship.
