On August 1, the MBFFL star spoke with Parade in an exclusive interview. During it, she said that she wants to clear things up and assure everyone that her father is okay. In her conversation, she claimed that many folks talk about her dad dying.

The outlet cited her as saying that she “wanted to tell people he’s fine,” and she emphasized how fans’ worries were based on misinformation. In fact, rumors online seemed to have spread so fast that the story got out even before any confirmation, which only caused unnecessary anxiety.

Notably, Whitney Way Thore insisted that she would address any real updates. Plus, she hates that false rumors spread publicly, causing hurt and misunderstandings.

“He’s not dead,” she said, while also appreciating the fans who care about Glenn Thore. In the future, she urged them to refer to verified sources, like her own statements or trusted outlets, before believing claims. As she told Parade, “Just know he’s fine. I would say something if it wasn’t true.”

Were The Rumors Strong?

For a while, there were indeed some rumors that Glenn had died. Whitney mentioned she hears about it “all the time.” But those TLC fans who also heard the rumors, are not all dumb. In fact, two weeks ago, u/That_kk looked for verification from other MBFFL fans on Reddit.

They asked, “Okay I’ve been reading all over the place that he has passed away. I looked at whits insta and see nothing. So please tell me what I’m seeing is false and Glenn is still with us!!!”

Other TLC fans in the comments assured the OP that Glen is alive and noted that clickbait seems to be the main reason for the continuing allegations.

More Death Rumors To Come?

You may remember previous health concerns. In 2023, Glenn landed up in the ER, and Whitney addressed it immediately. At the time, she shared that “he had an accident” and “went to the ER,” adding how relieved she was that he recovered safely. Her quick update prevented false stories about his untimely death from spreading.

Ironically, more death rumors look likely to start as TLC apparently airs a scene of Whitney looked at a camera that showed her father looking unwell or dead. The footage showed her dad lying on the floor. According to Whitney, it was funny rather than tragic, and fans will see more during the show. These days, they call him “Glenn Floor.”
