Prince Harry’s Security Concerns, King Charles Funeral, & Royal Protocol

During an interview with the BBC, Prince Harry claimed that the “establishment” was preventing him, Meghan Markle, and their children from getting the security they needed to return to the UK. He also said that he didn’t know how long his father, King Charles III, had left. And some media are pushing for a reconciliation.

The Lack Of Trust

According to Neil Sean on His Daily Headline News this weekend, the reason for the monarchy not wanting him in the UK is a lack of trust. Sean believes the king doesn’t just distrust Prince Harry, but also the “manipulation behind Harry” from “Doria, Megan, and… this new team of disruptors.”

A recent article in The Telegraph claimed that Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children would be at the “very heart” of the king’s future funeral arrangements. Sean questioned this, asking why they would be at the heart of his funeral plans but not his life.

As an aside, he also highlighted the king’s dedication to his duties despite health issues, contrasting it with Queen Victoria, who took years off after Prince Albert’s death.

Dismissing The Report 

Sean dismissed The Telegraph’s report as a “complete fabrication.” He explained that funeral arrangements are determined by royal protocol, and the final decision will be made by the new monarch, who will be Prince William. So, he suspects the media are being fed the lines to try and bend the will of his brother.

Prince William, as the new monarch, will have the final say on the arrangements. Sean believes that William would likely take the Sussex’s security concerns into account if they do go to the funeral. But at the same time, King Charles would want to ensure his funeral doesn’t become a “celebrity media circus.” Sean also pointed out that Meghan Markle did not attend the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, to pay her respects.

In the end, while King Charles can lay out plans, royal protocol allows the reigning monarch, Prince William, to make adjustments at the time of the funeral.
