Prince Harry & The Security Drama Revive Thomas Markel Questions

Following Prince Harry’s recent BBC interview when he claimed he needed special security because, well, he’s a prince, the subject of Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, was revisited by critics of the Royal Family. Read on to find out more.

How The Subject Of Meghan’s Dad Came Up

On Tuesday this week, Neil Sean gave an update on his Daily News Headlines account on YouTube. As expected, he talked about acts of parliament and the King’s limitation on revoking titles and security. He also talked about Harry and reconciliation with his family.  But then, he turned to Meghan Markle.

Neil said:

 [Prince Harry] came back to fight for his security. And the reason really why he needs the security, and I believe this from a source that works alongside Harry and Meghan, is she’s perpetually telling him how nervous she feels about her own personal security. Hence the reason we saw her turning up with a 4×4 to go and see a musical in New York. You know, it’s the sort of [thing that] makes her feel important. 

Becaue of the coverage of Meghan, in the comments section, someone raised the question of Thomas Markle. And that sparked a lot of responses from other viewers.

Thomas Gets Attention

@Canadianborn noted in the comments that most of the media talk about Harry and Meghan is about security and the King and reconciliation on Harry’s side. They wondered, “Why no forgiveness or reconciliation hopes for Grandpa Markle?” Next, they answered their own question, saying, “Because the thugs can’t monetize it.”

Agreeing, another follower retorted, “Totally agree with you – it is all about MONEY.”

• Grandpa Markle is useless. He has no money, no need for reconciliation.
• Because he’s poor and she’s ashamed of him!

The Dad & Daughter Drama

Meghan Markle’s relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, often seemed strained. Notably, it got worse after her relationship with Prince Harry went public.

Thomas, a retired television lighting director, married Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, but split when Meghan was about two years old. Although they co-parented, Markle mainly lived with her dad once she turned nine.

Royal Family fans thought that Thomas would walk his daughter down the aisle, but he never made it, allegedly because of health issues. Accusations that he leaked information to the paparazzi with staged pictures caused a rift in his relationship with Meghan.

Since the wedding, the relationship between Meghan and her father remained strained, with Thomas giving numerous interviews to the media about his daughter and Harry’s family. He also feels sad about not seeing his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

Thomas also dissed Meghan’s Netflix show “With Love, Meghan.” Well, he wasn’t alone in that. However, he has more issues because Meghan seems to distance herself from her origins and her name.
