Prince Harry allegedly had plans to return to the UK for the Trooping of the Colour parade and hoped to appear publicly with his father, King Charles, during the event. Read on for more details.
The King’s Birthday Celebration
According to royal commentator Neil Sean, the Duke of Sussex wanted to use the King’s official birthday celebration to repair their fractured relationship. However, it didn’t go as he hoped. In his Thursday night YouTube report, Neil Sean said,
Prince Harry thought this would be the perfect opportunity for him and his father to be seen together in some kind of bonding form.

Sean also noted that Harry allegedly floated the idea during a recent week-long visit to the UK, which included private security discussions and a now well-known BBC interview.
While Neil pointed out that Harry didn’t manage to get a meeting with King Charles, he still apparently hoped for a dramatic public moment. “He still would have considered, get this, returning for a very public reunion between him and his father as a surprise guest, popping out on the balcony at Buckingham Palace,” Sean revealed.

Next, he asked, referring to Meghan Markle, “Now, whose idea do you think that truly was?”
The King Won’t Ride This Year
King Charles, who continues cancer treatment, has scaled back appearances. This year, he doesn’t plan on riding a horse during the parade. Instead, Prince William will do it. Apparently, the big day will also be notable because Catherine returns to the public limelight.
Everyone knows that William’s wife took a step back from public appearances as she fought her cancer. Probably, she will be there with her beloved children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who always entertain fans. However, the closest Prince Harry’s kids, Archie and Lilibet, get to the big day will likely be watching it on TV, if Meghan allows that.
Reactions In The Comments
Critics wasted no time weighing in on Harry’s alleged desire. One viewer wrote, “The ONLY REASON Harry would want to attend Trooping The Colour is simply to steal all the attention away from the King and put it all on himself! It’s truly pathetic!”
Another added, “Harry has always been full of spite and jealousy. He thinks he still is important. The King needs to give him a strong message that he is no longer welcome. Charles can forgive him all he wants but the British public will never forget the disrespect they showed to the Queen.”
Others were even more blunt. “Well, I have heard everything now! Unbelievable! Who in their right mind, Royal or otherwise, would want to see him[?].”
While Harry may have hoped for a warm public moment with his father, Neil Sean made it clear that the plan didn’t take off. “He couldn’t get that meeting,” Sean said. He reminded Royal Family fans that “[Prince Harry] went on the BBC and basically said his father could have solved his security problems at the snap of a finger.”
With the Trooping of the Colour imminent, it seems Prince Harry won’t be making a surprise appearance on the balcony or anywhere in the UK on the big day.
