Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Get Australian Backlash

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took their kids to Disneyland, and in the wake of that, they picked up a lot of strong backlash from Australians. As they were not in Australia, read on to find out why comments flowed in on a vlog about it.

The Australian Connection

On Tuesday night, Royal Family commentator Neil Sean took to his live Daily News Headlines on YouTube and discussed the Disney visit that Meghan shared on Lilibet’s birthday. He discussed the fact that they didn’t have much security. Additionally, he talked about how they allegedly did much of it “behind closed doors” because they feared someone other than themselves might profit off pictures of the kids.

During his discussion, he also speculated about Australia. Neil asked, “What is the point of [the kids’ photos] other than to promote, once again, Megan and Harry allegedly being these devoted parents?”

He also alleged that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “are very keen, and take notice of this if you live in that wonderful land of Australia, because that’s where the video has got the most positive response.” Then he added, “Apparently, this is what’s been fed back to them that they’re very popular in Australia.” He also said, “I feel a visit coming on.”

Backlash From Australians 

In the comments section of the video, it seemed that Royal Family fans in Australia don’t love Harry and Meghan a whole lot. The backlash started with this comment:

They aren’t popular in Australia. Sky News reports on those two losers. They’re a pathetic joke.

• If we Aussies are watching MM’s videos it would be akin to watching a train crash. They are not popular here, especially after their last visit in 2019, regardless of what she and the analytics say.

Many similar comments arrived, and one of them noted, “Laughed out loud at “They’re very popular in Australia”, don’t know where they got that from. Australians are very good at cutting down the tall Poppies. The Australian media has been on to them for years.”
