Allegedly, a bitter standoff happens within Windsor between Prince William on one side and his uncle, Prince Andrew, on the other. Apparently, the disgraced Duke of York won’t back down, either. The story goes that it’s all about Andrew still living at the Royal Lodge, which William finds unacceptable. Read on for more details.
A Clash Of Wills
Neil Sean, a royal commentator, leaked the alleged news during his Daily News Headlines vlog on YouTube on Wednesday night. In it, he claimed that the Prince of Wales “just doesn’t want Prince Andrew on the premises.” Furthermore, William thinks that as the next king, he ought to be the one to make the final decision.

Notably, Sean claimed that their clash of wills caused a “family at war,” which turns the royal household into a real-life drama that he compared to a “rolling out 1980s soap opera.”
Andrew Wont Roll Over Easy
While relinquishing the use of his title might have seemed like the King’s brother fell on his sword, he’s not a pushover. Right now, it appears that Prince Andrew rallies back with a strong defense within the walls of Windsor Castle.
According to Sean, Andrew’s not acting like a passive onlooker. Instead, he allegedly comes “out fighting” and is “fighting his corner.” In fact, the backstory seems to be that the Duke of York was a victim of circumstance at the Platinum Jubilee.
What? Well, Sean said, “remember, he very much was pushing hard to have his day in court.” But, the Jubilee was coming up, and the Epstein drip-feed was also happening. So, Andrew allegedly claimed that he was forced into wrapping things up simply for the good of the country. Which explains why he made over the settlement payment in the civil case with Virginia Giuffre.
Stubborn Uncle Andrew
Andrew’s being stubborn now, because, apparently, he “never ever wanted to make the payment out,” as he thought it indicated his guilt. Additionally, he allegedly believed that if he paid, then Giuffre’s story would never be published.
As a result, Andrew still thinks he has the power to prove his innocence. From his perspective, if he were granted a court hearing, he would be able to “exonerate himself.” Sources claimed that he’ll possibly discredit the allegations by pointing out that the late Giuffre was “on record of not being 100% truthful.”
Family & Stress
Naturally, all this hullabaloo does more than just place pressure on the royal family. Sean’s sources told him that Princess Catherine goes through a tough time, and seems anxious. And, that’s not a good thing given her cancer recovery process.
Perhaps Prince William considers it necessary to remove Andrew for the sake of his family and the monarchy’s well-being. On the other hand, Andrew wants more “time” and “leeway” to organize his life. At the moment, the ex-royal allegedly just doesn’t want to go. So for now, there’s no resolution in sight.
Royal Family Fans React
In the comments section of the vlog, hardly anyone backed Prince Andrew and his claims. One person opined, “Andrew is guilty of being a jackass.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion area:
- I feel sorry for Prince William and Catherine. The stress they are dealing with must be overwhelming.
- The best thing the Yorks can do is move completely away, take the Harkles with them, & leave the real working Royals get on with their work in peace!
However, given that more than one person was implicated in the Epstein scandal, some folks backed the Duke of York. One of them penned:
Like him or loathe him Prince Andrew is a very convenient fall guy for many far more prominent characters who the press seem to conveniently ignore, whilst turning their onslaught on him into a grotesque witch hunt and kangaroo court.
Here’s another similar thought: “Andrew keeps getting dragged through the mud and there are some very high profile people here in the US being protected! It really irritates me and my sense of morality! I’m not defending him, I’m just saying he’s not in this mess alone.”
