As royal commentator Neil Sean noted on his By Royal Appointment segment of the Daily News Headlines, “It’s all part of the social media illusion, much like [old-style] Hollywood stars endorsing products.” The problem that Meghan faces in modern times is that “audiences see through the facade.”

Neil talked about how Prince Harry’s wife’s rebranding efforts, including a failed jam launch and a wine line meant to compete with celebrity brands, fell flat. Why is that? Could it be because she doesn’t seem to “reciprocate” when other influencers “endorse” her products?

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle allegedly uses “HRH” whenever she feels the need to secure a business opportunity.

On another note, it seems that Meghan’s $100 million Netflix deal is on shaky ground. Her documentary underperformed, and her podcast has been mocked for its lack of authenticity. Critics argue her content is unrelatable. For example, like her claim that she “never knew you could brine chicken in milk.”

Netflix executives, once enthusiastic, are now allegedly questioning their investment. The streaming giant faces a public increasingly tired of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. So what’s on the cards to change their fortunes?

The question isn’t whether Meghan can revive her brand. Instead, it seems that it should be about whether anyone cares about them at all.
