Meghan Markle Clocks This Important Milestone

Meghan Markle faced a series of criticisms after she shared a video of her heavily pregnant and twerking in a hospital room in 2021.

However, despite the negative reception and ridicule, her online presence has only continued to grow.

Now she’s a few thousand fans shy of 4 million Instagram followers – pipe dream for most of us, sure. Not bad for the Duchess who only returned to Instagram this January, eh?

Meghan Markle’s Online Presence Continues To Grow Amid ‘Baby Momma’ Dance Controversy

Meghan Markle is not only sparking praises and ridicule on Instagram, she’s racking up solid views to back them up.

You want headlines, that’s a typical Tuesday for Meghan, even if she’s going to be accused of being “crass” in the process.

For context, her ‘Baby Momma’ dance has managed to garner 47 million views within the space of a week. The post was shared as a cheeky way to mark her daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday.

In the video, Meghan, clad in a black gown in what appears to be moments from labor, got down low to Starrkeisha’s The Baby Momma Dance.

The video quickly became one of the most watched reels on Instagram within the week. On average, Meghan’s other reels usually hit 5 million to 10 million views.

While this is impressive, the Duchess still has a long way to go before she catches up with the content shared by other big name celebrities.

Beyoncé, with the full strength of her 311 million followers, shares reels to an average audience of 20-40 million viewers. Kylie Jenner’s reaches 40-60 million views everytime she shares, but then again she does have the massive number of 393 million followers behind her.

Even though the former American actress still has a long way to go before she enters the same league as these global stars, she’s been consistently growing so far.

Meghan Markle Fires Her Social Media Manager

In other news, Meghan fired her social media manager, and while no one knows exactly why, many suggest the huge negative storm that arose from her Baby Momma dance post prompted the move.

Weighing in on the decision to let go of six staff members, including the aforementioned social media manager, a source speaking to The Sun said, “Meghan and Harry always blame everyone else and never themselves. No one ever seems to be good enough for them and yet they fail to understand why things don’t change.”
