In her interview, the actress, who is best known for her role as Maxie Jones on the hit ABC soap, admitted that it felt “strange” to have a love story with a much older actor when she was just 21.

Kirsten is currently celebrating 20 years on General Hospital. But back then, the producers had actor Greg Vaughan play her love interest. He played Lucky Spencer and was significantly older than the actress.

Kirsten told the publication, “It was weird. “I’ve known Greg since I was, like, 14 or 15, and to me, back then, he was a grown-up. So, that was a very interesting experience.”

The actress continued, “Of course, I always thought Greg was a gorgeous guy, but that was a little strange for me. And the storyline was rough because of all the things Maxie was doing just to get him. So, that was a crazy time, and questionable choices were made.”

Kirsten Storms Felt Uncomfortable With A Much Older Love Interest

This has prompted a lot of fans to wonder if Kirsten might be throwing the producers of the show under the bus with her comments.

After all, she was young and General Hospital was one of the highest rated shows on daytime television at the time. Even if she did express how uncomfortable she felt, would the producers have done something? That’s what viewers would like to know.
