1000-Lb Sisters star, Amy Slaton, announced a major milestone on her social media this week. Her TLC fans were impressed and happy for the sometimes controversial star, who rushed into a relationship with Brian Lovvorn. Read on to see her latest news.
An Art Show for Amy
Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday, Tammy Slaton’s sister told her fans in a reel that they are welcome to come along and bring their friends and family to her very first art show. She shared some photos of herself outside what looked like gallery and a sample of her artwork.

In her caption, Amy Slaton added the details so people can find her on her big day. She explained:
After months of preparing and reserving a space I am happy to announce!! I’m having my first art show this Friday, August 29th @ 6 pm at Honeymoon Coffee, 1211 Tutor Ln, Evansville, IN 47715. Hope to see you there!

She also tagged her family, who didn’t seem to be keen on her marriage to Brian. Perhaps they will go along and support her. Certainly, if they do, it will be an added bonus for anyone who attends.
Fans React to the News
Most 1000-Lb Sisters fans seemed in awe of the artwork. Many of them congratulated her for taking her creative talents a step further. One of her followers wrote, “That’s awesome, congrats! And your peacock piece turned out so cool.”
Here are a few more reactions from the discussion area:

With nearly 5K likes in just a single hour, it certainly seems as if this new milestone is grabbing the attention of TLC fans.
The New Direction
The change toward a creative alternative away from reality TV first appeared in mid-June this year. At the time, the mom of Gage and Glenn had just sold a piece of her artwork. While her past work had been familiar to some and had often involved mixed media, her new creation marked a shift in style. She had previously been known for her cartoon-inspired pieces, but her latest art appears to have ventured in a more abstract direction.
Reality TV doesn’t last forever, so it makes sense for Amy Slaton to explore alternatives for income. Notably, it’s got to be healthier than her initial efforts, which involved eating gigantic unhealthy meals on YouTube.
