On Tuesday’s episode of 1000-Lb Sisters, fans saw that Amy Slaton accepted her boyfriend, Brian Lovvorn’s, proposal in a rather unique setting. He proposed inside Henderson Haunts’ haunted house, located in Kentucky. Tammy and Misty were there, but they didn’t seem at all impressed. Nor were TLC fans, who seem convinced that Brian was high.
The Episode Looked At Amy’s Brain
Apart from the proposal, the show also revealed that a chiropractor told Amy that her brain only functions at 14% of its potential capacity. Well, after seeing her accept Brian as her next husband, many viewers think that she barely uses her brain at all.

Tammy Slaton and Misty were just blown away and let their sister know they thought it was a terrible idea. Many fans already heard that Amy wanted to move in with Brian, and they already slammed her for dating a guy who was arrested with her after she was bitten by a camel.
Charged And Taken To Court
Their charges related to the possession of certain controlled substances (classified as Schedule I and IV) and putting a child at risk. Following their arrest, they were held at the Crockett County jail but were subsequently released after posting a $10,000 bond.

The legal proceedings that followed resulted in Amy Slaton being required to participate in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and pay a $500 fine. During this time, Chris Combs took care of the children involved. It was later reported that the child endangerment charges against the couple were dropped.
Was Brian High On The Show?
The footage in the latest episode showed Brian proposing on his knees. Later, when they walked out, he kind of slow-mo swaggered off with his new fiancée. While the show also revealed Tammy, her mom, and her new girlfriend, Andrea, it was Brian’s engagement that mostly got people talking on Reddit.

One of them said, “This is disturbing AF. He’s high as a kite, and she’s a 30-something-year-old toddler. They both have charges for not only weed, but shrooms, and her for child neglect, and he thinks it’s wise to propose on camera. No way she didn’t know either, with the matching shirts they wore.”
Another commenter asked, “Did anyone else see Brian being high as a kite while they were sitting outside?”
More people claimed they believed that the TLC stars’ behavior seemed odd:
- How can Amy actually say she’s taking court serious and in the same episode laugh and make jokes that Brian couldn’t propose in a jail cell? Are they actually sure she can access more than that 14%?
- Brian is just like Michael. Total red flag, love bombing weirdo!
- Brian definitely is on something.
- Is something up with Brian? The way he was looking around aimlessly outside when being talked to with that smile was just odd.
