Jill Dillard Meets With Derick & The Reason Surprises Fans

Counting On alum Jill Dillard, nee Duggar, met with her husband Derick Dillard and they had a specific agenda in mind. That surprised some TLC fans, so it might be a new concept for a bunch of people who watch reality TV. Read on to find out more. 

Jill Dillard & Derick Lead Busy Lives

The TLC couple tied the knot in 2014, and Derick Dillard spent time working as a missionary in various places like Nepal. But he had no intention of sticking with that. He’d been to college but went back to study law. Finally, he graduated and these days he works in Oklahoma as a practicing attorney.

Jill Dillard also made a career outside of reality TV and after Counting On, she appeared in the Amazon docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Additionally, she produced her best-selling book, Counting The Cost. At the same time, she kept her home and raised three boys. So, that takes some planning. 

Jill Dillard & Derick Meet Up For A Reason

On Monday this week, the TLC star took to her Instagram and shared a photo of herself with Derick Dillard. They were at a Waffle House and she said that they met for a reason. So, it wasn’t a casual breakfast for the Counting On couple. 

In her caption, Jill Dillard explained to her TLC fans:

Hashbrowns #alltheway please! 😋 @derickdillard and I were happy to get to squeeze in a working date to @wafflehouseofficial this weekend to go over family goals for the upcoming year! Derick, you’re my fave!!…& you know I’ll always have a few bites of whatever you order too!

TLC Fans Seem Surprised

Some fans expressed their surprise that the couple met for a formal working breakfast to discuss goals. But really, qualifying as an attorney, writing a best-seller book, and raising three kids clearly wasn’t a random series of events. So, it becomes obvious that they probably carefully planned their future in the past. Here are some reactions from TLC fans:
