Jill Duggar’s Husband Derick Dillard Blasts In-Law Jim Bob For Acting ‘Like A Pimp’

TLC alums Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard have been vocal about the ill-treatment they’ve received from her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar since before the publication of their book “Counting The Costs.” They are still going on about it and sharing different versions of their experiences.

The couple made a recent appearance on “Sounds Like a Cult” podcast hosted by Isa Medina and Amanda Montell to talk about their cult-like family and during the conversation, Derick said his father inlaw acted “like a pimp” during the filming of their reality tv show “19 Kids & Counting.”

In the interview, Derrick told the hosts that Jill’s dad acted a certain way during filming to avoid getting fired, he went on to say, “One of the advantages, unfortunately, to the way he did it, like manipulating everyone, was that the network only had to deal with one person.”

I’m not going to ask if they want to be involved in this on this level, but I will give you all the life events of all these kids of mine.’ And they just have to deal with one person. They don’t have to get it from everyone.”

Jill Duggar — Jill’s Best Christmas Memory

It’s no secret how out of the ordinary the Duggar family is, however, no one expected a family that’s very strict with Christianity, and living righteously to be very uptight with gifting their kids something valuable as Christmas gifts.

During a recent question and answer session, Jill was asked “What is your favorite Christmas memory?” and her answer left every Duggar fan shocked.

The mom of three answered, “One Christmas my parents gave each of us a decent-sized plastic container full of candy…and topped it with a new toothbrush and toothpaste! I saved the container until it broke last year… it was that memorable!”

Some critics couldn’t get over the fact that all Jill and her siblings received from their parents on Christmas was a plastic bucket of candy so they took her answer straight to Reddit for proper criticism.

Someone wrote, “To be honest I find her favorite Christmas memory kind of sad. I realize finding it sad comes from an initial position of enormous privilege but I can’t imagine the best Christmas gift I ever got being a bucket of candy.”

Another commented, “I was thinking the same thing. It’s very sad to me that her favorite memory (not gift) was a generic gift that was just candy. It wasn’t a personalized gift to her. It wasn’t a fancy gift. It was an easy, cheap gift to give a bunch of children you can’t afford, If that was her best gift/memory I can only imagine how all the other years went.”
