Jinger Vuolo – Was Raised Very Strictly

TLC canceled two shows that involved the Duggar family. The first to fall was “19 kids and Counting” which followed Josh Duggar‘s molestation of his sisters. Then, after Josh was arrested for child pornography offenses, “Counting On” was also dropped. Jinger was well-loved by TLC fans and they thought she married an excellent man when she and Jeremy tied the knot: Mainly because she wore pants and broke the rules that Jim Bob Duggar laid down for the family.

Jinger Vuolo was raised under a large range of rules. Actually, it seemed that Jim Bob Duggar and his wife, Michelle forced their kids to behave in certain ways. If you don’t know, the rules for the daughters involved things like not wearing pretty clothes. Additionally, they couldn’t wear pants or date a boy without a chaperone. Well, Jinger was afraid to break the rules and she told Tamon Hall that her childhood was “fear-based.”

While the former TLC star didn’t actually slam her mom and dad in so many words, she let Tamron Hall know that her parents enforced the rules of the IBLP founder, Bill Gothard. Jinger Vuolo  – TLC Viewers Comment

Jinger Vuolo is well-known amongst viewers of the Counting On show on TLC. So, people talked about how they aren’t sure that she actually became a critical thinker. One of them said, “I just don’t understand how she thinks McArthur is disentangling her faith. It sounds like to me, she just left Gothard for McArthur. Why can’t the Bible be enough? We don’t need to follow these people who claim to have all the knowledge they need to know Christ. It’s so man-made.”

Meanwhile, another person wrote, “Christian here: teach your kids to think! Otherwise, they fall prey to people who abuse them in God’s name.”
