GH Spoilers: Romance Is Rising For Robert And Diane As Holly Heads Back To Port Charles

General Hospital (GH) spoilers say Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is beaming. Every time Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) comes around, his face lights up, and his friends — like Laura Collins (Genie Francis) — are starting to notice his newfound happiness.

It seems that Robert is doing all he can to live up to his word that he gave to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that he would put himself out there again. Of course, when he did so, his ex-wife, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), suddenly crawled out of her grave and reemerged in his life.

Now that Holly is gone once again, Robert has had time to chat more with Diane and find out just how much he enjoys her company and the witty banter they share. Will that be able to outpace Holly’s charms and Robert’s long standing connection to her when she resurfaces back in Port Charles?

Diane and Robert have been dancing around their attraction to one another for a long time. GH fans were beginning to think nothing more was going to happen here, but it looks like Springtime is going to bring a blossoming love story into view for these two, and right on time.

Diane has long made peace with being single the last few years. She’s married to her work, and thus, pairing up with someone else who lives the same lifestyle really suits her. No more flirting around the truth — these two are headed for serious romance ahead.

GH Spoilers – Leak It Won’t Be Easy

Robert and Diane may find their way to happiness together, which they both deserve without question, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any bumps in the road. Last time Holly was around, Diane was clearly playing second fiddle to her.

That way okay — then. But this time around, Diane is supposed to be the leading lady in her love story with Robert, and she’s not the type to settle for coming in second. Robert will have to battle some of his bad habits and old tendencies to drop everything and run to Holly whenever she’s in need. Can he do that?

Holly may not be brazen enough to come back to Port Chuck and blow Robert’s life apart, but she’s not going to go away easily either. That is her home and the people she loves are there, absent her son. She wants to be in familiar company at this stage in her life and let the spy life fall by the wayside.

As she hopes to hang onto some semblance of her past, she’ll have to contend with the idea that Robert is a part of that. Sure, they’ll always be friends, but that’s all they are now.
